The A91V8-UART is small board that can be easily mounted to add true RS-232 signaling to a serial UART interface. The A91V8-UART is ideal for adding serial communication to the 12G SAS switch or a server. It comes with a 12” cable for easy installation on a full height or low profile (MD2 format) PCI brackets or a fan sled option that replaces a fan for the SAS 12Gb/s switch.
The A91V8-UART is a single RS-232 transceivers operating over a wide range of supply voltages from 1.8V to 5.5V while driver outputs are protected from overload and can be shorted to ground or up to +- 15V without damage.
The A91V8-UART offers a flexible operating baud rate from 300bps to 115200bps making the A91V8-UART usable in most serial applications.
