Overview
The Astek A43212-SAN drive sanitizer provides fast secure block level sanitization for data centers. The Astek sanitizer enables loose drives or drives mounted in almost any carrier to connect directly to the system. Drives are safely stored in one of four trays capable of supporting up to 8 hard drives each with speeds up to 1GBs per drive. Supported drives include SAS/SATA, HDD/SSD, and 2.5”/3.5” form factors. The Astek sanitizer greatly simplifies the data center sanitization process by with it’s drive carrier agnostic interface in a standard 4U form factor housing 32 drives.
Drive Carrier Connection
The Astek A43212-SAN Sanitizer providers independent connections to each drive whether they are mounted in or out of drive carriers. The flexibility of the Astek Sanitizer allows any carrier, regardless of manufacture or form factor, to directly connect to the sanitizer without being removed from the carrier first. It is often the case that data centers have to purchase extra servers for their sanitization area in order to avoid the overhead, of both cost and time, to remove carriers from hard drives before the sanitization is performed. Through this drive carrier flexibility, the Astek A43212-SAN saves costs on extra sanitization servers and labor-intensive drive carrier removal while providing a unique and ubiquitous interface and homogenous sanitization environment.

CLI Interface
The A43212-SAN provides a command line interface (CLI), accessible through ethernet and an in-band HBA configuration interface. The interface provides drive status, expander configurations, and real-time management of the system. Basic status information includes firmware revisions, temperature and voltage measurements, and fan speeds.
